Description and Specification for Lab Tenders
Folding Endurance Tester (MIT type).
Folding or creasing plays a very important part in use of paper. Almost all varieties of paper are subjected to either single or repeated folds in the course of their application. Determination of folding resistance is thus of prime importance in assessing suitability of any paper for the end use.
The folding resistance is usually determined by either the MIT folding endurance method or by the Schopper folding endurance method. While the former is suited for any thickness of paper up to 1.25 mm, the latter is generally used when the thickness of paper is less than 0.25 mm.
