Description and Specification for Lab Tenders
Bench Thickness Gauge.
The Bench Thickness Gauge for rubber consists of a dial micrometer fitted on a rigid metallic frame. The micrometer has a flat circular indentor, which exerts the specified pressure through a dead weight on the rubber sample or test slab whose thickness is being measured.
The rubber sample or slab is kept on an anvil, which is in form of a flat circular platform. The axis of the indentor and the anvil coincide and is the same as the axis of movement of the indentor. The indentor can be raised and lowered gently onto the rubber sample or slab with the help of a lifting lever.
The body of the thickness gauge is finished in shore blue metallic painting / black stove enamel painting. The anvil and the indentor are made from magnetic stainless steel. The loading weight is made from brass.
